Gleneagles Country Club Shines at the 2025 Travelers Championship
What a week it was at the 2025 Travelers Championship! Gleneagles Country Club was proud to be part of one of the PGA Tour’s most popular events, held June 19–22 at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Connecticut, with the Pro-Am kicking things off on Wednesday, June 18. As the second most highly attended tournament on the PGA Tour, the Travelers Championship draws fans from all over the Northeast—making it the perfect stage to share a taste of the Gleneagles lifestyle.
A Strong Team Effort
The Gleneagles team arrived early to make sure our presence was set up for success. Clubhouse Manager Kristen Laraia got to Connecticut the weekend before to start preparing our tent, joined by Director of Golf Joe DeMino on Tuesday, June 17. Membership Manager Michael Finegan joined on Friday, June 20, helping lead the charge during the busiest days of the tournament—Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
While setup week brought some chilly, rainy weather, the skies cleared beautifully just in time for the tournament—and by Sunday, June 22, the sunshine brought not only big crowds but even heat advisories! Along the way, Kristen and Joe had some memorable moments, including meeting Scottie Scheffler, who graciously posed for a photo, and reconnecting with Jason Day, who Joe had previously played alongside at a charity pro-am in Ohio.
Inside the Gleneagles Tent
From 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day, the Gleneagles tent welcomed a steady stream of visitors. Spectators were drawn to the floor-to-ceiling branded backdrops, a digital display filled with photos of club life, and a Gleneagles-logo Club Car displayed right out front. Inside, the focus was on warm, quality interactions—giving people an authentic feel for the friendly, active lifestyle that makes Gleneagles so special.
Guests walked away with custom poker chip ball markers and had the chance to enter our exciting golf getaway giveaway. The package included two nights at The Opal Grand, with golf and meals at the club. By the end of the week, hundreds of people from all over the Northeast had entered the giveaway. On June 25, a winner was drawn, and plans are already underway for their trip to Delray Beach!

Powered by Our Members
One of the best parts of the entire week was the outpouring of support from Gleneagles members who joined us in the tent. Their stories and enthusiasm brought an authenticity that no marketing piece could replicate. They shared what it’s really like to be part of Gleneagles—an engaging, welcoming, and active community where friendships thrive.
We also thank the many members who encouraged friends and family to stop by and say hello—the excitement for Gleneagles was truly contagious.
Looking Ahead
The Travelers Championship gave us the chance to showcase Gleneagles to a wide audience, but more importantly, it allowed us to make meaningful connections. Our approach was warm, friendly, and no-pressure, focused on planting seeds that we believe will grow into future memberships.
We left Connecticut proud of what we accomplished, grateful for the support of our members, and energized for the future. Here’s to carrying that momentum forward—and welcoming new friends to Gleneagles in the years ahead!
