Construction begins on new Tennis and Pickleball Center

Gleneagles Country Club is thrilled to announce its plans for the renovation and enhancement of its Tennis and Pickleball Center.

After careful consideration and extensive input from members, committees, and leadership staff, Gleneagles Country Club has embarked on a comprehensive renovation project aimed at modernizing and expanding the Tennis and Pickleball Center. The endeavor is a vital component of the club’s strategic plan to meet the evolving needs of its members and enhance their overall experience.

Key members of the consultant team for the project include:

Interior Design: Kristin Nichols and Kelli Larson, Larson Nichols
Architect: Gary Eliopoulous, GE Archictecture
General Contractor: Josh Weaver, Mouw Associates
Owner’s Representative: Jesse Sukhu, Gaudet Associates, an NV5 Company

Key features of the renovation project include:

  1. New Construction: The project will involve constructing a new facility that offers more functional retail and office space, built to 2024 building standards, including hurricane impact protection. The design will incorporate state-of-the-art technology and amenities to provide members with a modern and comfortable environment.
  2. Expanded Pro Shop and Locker Rooms: The Pro Shop will double in size, providing greater retail space and additional offices. Locker rooms will be enlarged for members’ convenience.
  3. Enhanced Viewing Areas: Spectator viewing areas will be enhanced to provide an improved experience for members and guests with covered extensions to Stadium court.
  4. Improved Amenities: The renovation will include the installation of a beverage station, state-of-the-art technology, including audio/visual. Additionally, all sidewalks and parking areas will be resurfaced, and new landscaping will be installed to enhance the overall aesthetic appeal of the facility.

Construction is scheduled to commence on April 22, 2024, with demolition beginning on April 29. The remaining construction, including land clearing, building erection, and interior finishes, is anticipated to conclude by February 2025.

Throughout the construction process, Gleneagles Country Club remains committed to minimizing disruptions to daily play for tennis and Pickleball enthusiasts. The club will continue to offer its usual summer and fall programs and events, including Summer Swing and Pickleball Under the Lights, with minimal impact on member activities.
